Absecon pitchers Dan Allen and Mike Isgro combined on a one-hitter in a 4-1 victory over Hammonton on Friday in the Atlantic County Baseball League.

It was the eighth straight win for host Absecon (16-5).

Anthony Cocuzza went 2-for-3 with a double for Absecon, while Isgro and Matt Allen each had RBIs. Dan Allen was 1-for-1 with a walk.

David Chappine had the lone hit for Hammonton (13-9), and he added an RBI on a bases-loaded walk in the fifth inning.

Thursday night

Team Univers swept host Ventnor in an Atlantic County Baseball League doubleheader, winning 13-3 in five innings on the 10-run rule and then 7-3.

In the opener, Mike Earling hit a two-run homer for the winners. Chris Caprio had three hits and drove in three runs. Andrew Ordille went 2-for-4. Winning pitcher Tom Gallagher pitched all five innings, allowing five hits and two walks while striking out six.

For Ventnor, Brett Uhling had two hits, including a double, and Nate Wallace hit a run-scoring triple.

In the second game, Tyler Love had two hits, including a double, and scored three runs. Jordan Barbone had two hits, including a double, and knocked in two runs.

Love also was the winning pitcher, going five innings and striking out four.
