Doug Hiltner pitched a complete-game three-hitter with 11 strikeouts and one walk as Margate beat visiting Egg Harbor City 2-1 Thursday night in the Atlantic County Baseball League.

Margate (22-2) won its 14th straight game.

Margate's Dave Housel hit an RBI double to drive in the go-ahead run in the fifth inning after Ross Costello was hit by a pitch and Pat Goodwin walked.

Margate scored in the first inning. Scott Evangelist and Steve Normaine each singled, and Rick Hopkins singled to make it 1-0.

Egg Harbor City's run came in on a throwing error.

Scott Brosman had two hits for EHC (4-20).

Absecon 6. Ventnor 3: E.J. Stoltzfus went 2-for-2 with two walks and two runs for visiting Absecon (19-5), which won its 11th straight game.

Winning pitcher Cody Meyer worked two innings of relief. Ed Truitt pitched a scoreless seventh inning for the save.

For Ventnor (10-14), Juan Mejia and Brett Uhing each singled and doubled.

Team Univers 4, This 'N That Uniforms 0: Ryan Ellison pitched a complete game for Team Univers.

Greg Morano had a single and two RBIs, and Andrew Ordille doubled.

Ventnor 10, Hammonton 4 (Wednesday): Ventnor's Junior Mejia hit a grand slam in the third inning.

Winning pitcher Ben Whitener went five innings and struck out five.

Ventnor relief pitcher Murray Kanter worked the sixth inning, and Juan Mejia pitched the seventh inning.

For Hammonton, Sean Park went 2-for-4.
