The Atlantic Shore Babe Ruth baseball team made a dramatic first appearance as hosts of the Mid-Atlantic Regional Tournament with a 14-0 win over Piedmont, Del., on Friday in Somers Point.

Kyler Pikus got the win by pitching the first three innings and Chris Sieg pitched the final three. It was the third shutout in a row for Atlantic Shore. Cody Sadreameli had three hits, including a double and a home run. Jack Loefflad had two hits.

Atlantic Shore is now 1-0 to lead Pool A along with Frederick County, Md. They will play South Colonie, N.Y., at 4 p.m. today in Somers Point.
