The Atlantic Shore Babe Ruth team will at least advance to the quarterfinals in the 13- to 15-year-old Mid-Atlantic Regional Tournament, all that is left to be determined is seeding.

The squad moved to 3-0 Sunday after its opponent, Basking Ridge, was forced to forfeit because it was unable to field a team. With the victory, Atlantic Shore locked up a spot in the top three in its pool and clinched a spot in the quartefinal round.

Atlantic Shore can win the pool with a victory against Frederick County (Md.) today at 4 p.m. at Surf Stadium in Atlantic City.

The winner of each pool receives a bye into the semifinal round.

The quarterfinals are set to take place Tuesday morning, and the semifinals are scheduled for Tuesday afternoon.

The championship game is slated for Wednesday at 4 p.m. at Surf Stadium.
