Barnegat High School beat North Burlington 28-25 in a South Jersey Group II football semifinal  Friday night.

 The Bengals dominated in the first half. Cinjun Erskine connected with Kyle Morris for a 50-yard touchdown pass. Erskine also scored on an 8-yard run in the first quarter, helping Barnegat build a 14-6 halftime lead.

Tyler McGuiness scored on a 2-yard touchdown run for Barnegat in the third quarter.

Kevin Hoffman scored on a 40-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter for the Bengals.

Ryan Ulrich was five-for-five in point-after kicks.

Barnegat improved to 9-1 and advanced to the title game to be played the weekend of Dec. 6-8 against the winner of tonight’s matchup between fourth-seeded Delsea Regional and top-seeded Manasquan.

Brandon Wimbush threw two touchdown passes to Corey Caddle for St. Peters, including one for 92 yards.

Jonathon Hilliman scored three times, on runs of 54, 5 and 6 yards. St. Peters advanced to the  state Non-Public IV final. It will play the weekend of Dec. 6-8 against the winner of today’s game (4) Don Bosco Prep and (1) Paramus Catholic.
