The sixth annual Barnegat Bay Challenge, a five-mile water race in several disciplines, is scheduled to start at 6:15 p.m. Monday at the 14th Street bay beach in Ship Bottom on Long Beach Island.

The event includes divisions for doubles crews in surfboats, a regular paddleboard division, men's and women's standup paddleboard divisions, and a division for surf skis.

The Ship Bottom Beach Patrol will host the event, which is open to all.

Registration will be held Monday from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the 14th Street bay beach.

The registration fee of $20 per person includes a T-shirt.
