Joe Gatto had a big day as the St. Augustine Prep baseball team beat Princeton Day 12-6 in a nonconference baseball game on Friday.

The junior struck out 10 for his first win of the season and helped himself, going 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles and four RBIs. First baseman Jay Higbee went 4-for-4 with three stolen bases and two RBIs.

Also for the Blue Devils, Chris Ezzi went 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI, and Justin Smith was 1-for-1 with a sacrifice fly and a two-run single.

Winning pitcher Anthony Cappuccio went three innings, with three walks and four strikeouts. Reliever Andrew Hamilton worked the final two innings.
