Barry Buchowski

St. Augustine Prep, Sr.

The catcher batted .418 with six home runs and 29 RBIs. Buchowski's bat and leadership sparked the Hermits to the Cape-Atlantic League title and the South Jersey Non-Public A final. He will play for NCAA Division I Tulane University.


Troy Dixon

Egg Harbor

Township, Sr.

Dixon batted .338 with a .442 on-base percentage. He stole eight bases and led the Eagles with 17 runs scored. He is headed to St. John's University in New York.


Christian Adorno

St. Augustine Prep, Sr.

One of the best defensive shortstops in the area. Adorno batted .385 with 37 runs scored and 35 stolen bases.

Kyle Cox

Millville, Jr.

Cox batted .439 with 17 RBIs and 15 runs scored. He had a .573 slugging percentage.

Johnny Malatesta

Vineland, Jr.

The shortstop led Vineland with a .457 average. He had eight doubles and a triple.

Doug Schwartz

Middle Township., Sr.

Schwartz batted .564 with a school-record 48 hits. He knocked in 38 runs and scored 26. Schwartz also was 8-1 with a 1.84 ERA. He will attend Montclair State.

Montgomery Strickland

Egg Harbor Township, Jr.

Strickland batted .414 with 21 RBIs. He had a .586 slugging percentage and led the team with 10 stolen bases.


Mike Elfreth

St. Augustine Prep, Sr.

The centerfielder batted .432 and knocked in 24 runs. He scored 21 runs and stole eight bases.

Beau Hall

Ocean City, Sr.

Hall batted .424 with two home runs, 24 RBIs and a .621 slugging percentage. Hall also had a 6-2 pitching record with a 0.79 ERA. He will attend Georgetown University.

Chris Newman

Cedar Creek, Sr.

Newman batted .375 with 28 runs scored and 12 RBIs. He had a .477 on-base percentage and a .472 slugging percentage.

Robert Bunton

Buena Regional, Sr.

Bunton batted .372. He stole 16 bases and scored 36 runs. Bunton had an assist, 41 putouts and no errors.


Kyle Andrews

Ocean City, Sr.

Andrews went 6-1 with a 1.04 ERA. He struck out 45 and walked only nine in 401/3 innings.

Don Money

Vineland, Sr.

Money went 9-1with a 1.53 ERA. He struck out 35 in 64 innings and threw seven complete games. He also batted .326.

Chris Oakley

St. Augustine Prep, Sr.

Oakley finished 9-1 with a 1.62 ERA. He struck out 56 in 52 innings. Oakley pitched the Hermits to wins over Gloucester Catholic, Bishop Eustace and Vineland. He will attend North Carolina University.

Zach Warren

St. Augustine Prep, Jr.

Warren finished 6-1 with a 1.21 ERA. He struck out 68 batters in 50 innings. A Division I college prospect.


Joe Gatto

St. Augustine Prep, Jr.

Gatto excelled as a pitcher and at first base. He was 5-3 on the mound with a 2.35 ERA. Gatto batted .352 with 21 RBIs. He has verbally committed to attend North Carolina.
