Atlantic County Institute of Technology sophomore pitcher Jake Favre threw a five inning, no-hit shutout as the Red Hawks won 16-0 over host Bridgeton in a Cape-Atlantic League game Tuesday.

Favre got his first win with nine strikeouts and a walk. It was the first no-hitter in school history.

ACIT scored 16 runs on 17 hits.

Atlantic City snapped an 8-8 tie with a four-run ninth inning. Matt DiCerbo was 2-for-3, Tyler McClaskey was 3-for-5 and Steve Myers was 2-for-5 for the Vikings.

For Holy Spirit, Tyler Dowd hit a home run and AJ Russo was 2-for-4 and scored two runs.

Greg Hettenbach had four hits, including a double, and drove in three runs for Cape May Tech.

Hawks' pitcher, Connor Mulville, struck out eight, while allowing four hits.

Kevin Laffey provided Wildwood Catholic's runs with a two-run shot in the bottom of the third. Chris Mayer added two hits for the Crusaders.
