A capacity crowd of more than 65,000 fans is expected to watch the Philadelphia Eagles practice today at Lincoln Financial Field.

The team announced Saturday that the workout will start at 12:30 p.m., regardless of the weather. The practice is the first of five that new coach Chip Kelly has scheduled for the stadium, along with Aug. 5, 11, 17 and 26. Tickets and parking to all of the practices are free.

The Headhouse Plaza will open at 10:30 a.m. today and interior gates to the seats will open at 11:30 a.m. At Headhouse Plaza, a variety of activities are planned, including music, face-painting and appearances by the team mascot and cheerleaders. Concessions at the stadium will be open, but no alcoholic beverages will be served.

Fans planning to attend should also note that no backpacks will be allowed, in accordance with NFL regulations. Fans can bring bags that are clear plastic and/or small clutch bags.

Today is Eagles Alumni Day and a number of former players will sign autographs at Headhouse Plaza before practice. Bill Bergey, Reno Mahe, Jody Schulz and John Spagnola will be there from 10:30 to 11:15, followed by Sean Landeta, Vince Papale, Hollis Thomas and William Thomas from 11:15 to noon.

Approximately 40 former players will be introduced on the field prior to practice, including Chuck Bednarik, Brian Dawkins, Donovan McNabb, Pete Retzlaff, Jon Runyan and Brian Westbrook.

After practice, fans ages 14 and under will have an opportunity to catch a touchdown pass on the field. Fans interested in doing so must pick up a ticket at the large tent located at Headhouse Plaza near the Xfinity Gate starting at 10:30.

As for autographs, every fan will receive a ticket upon entering the stadium.

Those who receive "winning" tickets will be directed to the SCA and West Club levels for player autographs after practice.
