Southern Regional High School bowler Annie Smith tied for ninth place individually with a 587 series at the South Jersey girls bowling sectionals at Laurel Lanes in Maple Shade on Saturday. Barnegat had the best area team finish, placing third in Group II with a total of 2249.
Egg Harbor Township's Melissa Collins was 16th individually with a 554 series.. Barnegat's Jessica Zalewski tied for 18th with a 547.
Pinelands Regional placed fourth in team scoring in Group II with a total of 2136. Southern finished sixth in Group IV with a score of 2191, and Egg Harbor Township finished 10th (2032).
Hammonton placed eighth in Group III, scoring 2014. Atlantic County Instittue of Technology was eighth in team scoring (1866) in Group I.
