The Cumberland Regional High School boys basketball team made a season-high 12 3-pointers, shooting 45 percent, to get its first win of the season and first win for new head coach John Valore.

The win gave Valore 550 for his career. He was 549-363 in 35 seasons at Cherry Hill East.

Dwayne Parker and Milton Morris both recorded season highs. Parker had 14 and Morris with 13.

Wesley Savage led the Colts with 16 points, and Joseph Ordille was also in double figures with 11.

Dionis Gonzalez took the inbounds pass and drove the length of the floor and converted a layup at the buzzer to give Mainland the upset win.

Egg Harbor Township's Trey Jones hit a baseline jumper with 4.6 seconds left prior to the play. Jones finished with 10 points for the Eagles, while Khari Harley led all scorers with 18.

Mainland's Darius Jerkins tallied 15 points and 12 rebounds, both team highs. Ted Mazzeo and Kenny Randall each added eight points for the Mustangs.
