The Hammonton High School boys basketball team upset Holy Spirit, No. 9 in The Press Elite 11, 58-55 in a Cape-Atlantic League interdivision game Thursday.

With 11 seconds left, Hammonton's Justin Harris made a steal to preserve the Blue Devils' 3-point lead. Harris also scored 12 points. Christian Mortellite led Hammonton with 17 points.

It was the first time Hammonton defeated Holy Spirit in coach Joe Martino's 11-year tenure.

Junior Saintel led all scorers with 25 points for Holy Spirit. The Spartans have dropped three straight games.

Dayshawn Reynolds scored eight of his game-high 19 points in the first quarter as Atlantic City, ranked No. 1 in the Elite 11, went ahead 25-8.

Ga-briel Chandler, Dennis White and Isaiah Graves were also in double figures for the unbeaten Vikings, which shot 13-for-16 from the foul line.

Ocean City's Griffin Grimes registered 11 points and Justin Ruggia had nine.

Mike Greenman scored 20 points, including four 3-pointers, to lead St. Augustine Prep. It was coach Paul Rodio's 768th career victory. Blake Rossell added 15 for the Hermits, ranked fifth in the Elite 11.

Will Atkins scored 11 points, grabbed 12 rebounds and blocked three shots as the Red Devils won for the first time in program history. Nile White added 16 points and Isaiah Bell 12 for ACIT.
