The Southern Regional High School boys basketball team rallied from a 10-point deficit to defeat visiting Toms River South 44-43 in a Shore Conference A South game Thursday.

Mike Gesicki scored 19 points for the Rams, who trailed 35-25 heading into the fourth quarter. Southern went on a 19-8 run in the final period.

Monsignor Donovan was up 22-21 at halftime, and pulled away by outscoring visiting Pinelands 25-10 in the third quarter. Steve Suskevich and Tom Cerami led Mon Don with 16 points apiece.

For the Wildcats, Zach Schnepp, Matt MacPhee and Luke Stambaugh each scored 13 points.
