The Wildwood Catholic High School boys basketball team upset visiting Holy Spirit 57-48 Wednesday in a Cape-Atlantic League National Conference game.

Kenny Haury scored the Crusaders' first 11 points in the first quarter and finished with 14.

The Crusaders led 23-15 at halftime and were up by 16 in the fourth quarter before holding on for the victory.

"We came out and played really good defense in the first half," Wildwood Catholic coach Dave DeWeese said.

"It was a very big win. We played very poorly in our last game (a 66-41 loss at Pleasantville on Monday), so they worked really hard to prepare for this game. We proved that we can play with anybody on any night if we come to play.

"Kenny Haury really gave us a great start, and he did a great job defensively, too."

T. John Casiello also scored 14 points for Wildwood Catholic, while Dave McCallion and DaQuill Gibbs added 11 and 10 points, respectively.

Jate Cheshul scored 20 points for Holy Spirit, including 18 in the second half, and Asmar Williams had 12.
