Boys soccer roundup: Jacob Cowan scores game-winner for Middle Township in double overtime

Jacob Cowan scored on a pass from Alijah Broadnax 3 minutes, 42 seconds into the second overtime to lift Middle Township High School over neighboring rival Lower Cape May Regional 2-1 in a Cape-Atlantic League boys soccer game on Thursday.

As the ball was being knocked around in the box, Broadnax gained control and found Cowan in the middle, who slipped the ball in the left corner of the net.

Steven Hand and Tanner Kerr combined for the shutout for the Panthers, No. 6 in The Press Elite 11.

For Lower Cape May, Eric Barikian made 21 saves.

Atlantic County Institute of Technology's Andrew Henry scored the winning goal in overtime for the Redhawks. Henry took a pass from Kevin Padilla and won it four minutes into the first extra session.

Nate Henry, Andrew's brother, scored twice for ACIT and Padilla had a goal and two assists. Trailing 3-0 at halftime, Cape May Tech scored three goals in the second half, two by Ryan Tozer and one by Matt Michale.

Goalie Jeff Wallace recorded the shutout with three saves. St. Joseph keeper Tim Atallah made four saves.
