The Pleasantville High School boys soccer team won its first game since 2010, beating host Holy Spirit 1-0 in a Cape-Atlantic League National Conference interdivision game. Eric Rubi scored the only goal unassisted from outside the 18-yard line at 15 minutes into the second half.

Pleasantville's Kervin Sanabia made 10 saves for the shutout. Spartans keepers Kho Nguyen and Mike Heenan combined for eight saves.

Jake Johnson added a goal for the host Hawks in the 79th minute, and Kasey McInnis assisted. Goalie Robert Edmunds, Paul's brother, recorded the shutout with seven stops.

Kyle Broecker had eight saves for the Pirates, and Eric Barikian made seven stops for LCM.
