Mike Trout, an outfielder with the Los Angeles Angels, was the 2012 American League Rookie of the Year and MVP runner-up. Trout, 22, is a 2009 Millville High School graduate who was a two-time Press Player of the Year and The Press Male Athlete of the Year for the 2008-09 school year.

Saturday: Trout went 0-for-4 with a strikeout in the Angels' 6-5 victory over Seattle.

Sunday: The Angels host Seattle and starter Felix Hernandez (12-9, 3.01) at 3:35 p.m.

Stats: Trout is hitting .327 (186-for-568) with 26 home runs, 92 RBIs, 108 runs, 39 doubles, nine triples and 33 stolen bases on 40 attempts in 150 games. His on-base percentage is .434, his slugging percentage .565 and his OPS .999.
