OF Darren Ford (Vineland) was 1-for-3 with two runs scored and a walk for the Indianapolis Indians (Pirates) in a 6-4 victory over the Rochester Red Wings (Twins) in the triple-A International League Saturday. Ford is hitting .237 with 17 RBIs, 32 runs scored and 25 stolen bases in 77 games.

OF Matt Szczur (Lower Cape May Regional) was 1-for-3 with a walk and a run scored for the Tennessee Smokies (Cubs) in a 4-3 loss to the Mobile BayBears on Saturday in the double-A Southern League. Szczur is hitting .281 with 72 runs scored, 41 RBIs and 21 stolen bases in 121 games.

LHP Scott DeCecco (Middle Township) of the High Desert Mavericks (Mariners) of the Advanced Class-A California League, is 9-8 with a 4.46 ERA in 25 starts. In 1371/3 innings, he has given up 143 hits, walked 42 and struck out 83. He also pitched 24 games for the Clinton LumberKings this season. His last start was Wednesday.

RHP A.J. Holland (Holy Spirit) gave up one hit in one inning of relief and picked up a hold in a 3-1 win over the Frederick Keys. He is 5-9 with a 4.89 ERA in 26 appearances, all but the last two were starts, for the Lynchburg Hillcats (Braves) of the Class-A Advanced Carolina League.

RHP Darren Fischer (Cumberland Regional) is 0-3 with a 5.60 ERA in 11 relief appearances for the Princeton (W.Va.) Rays in the rookie-level Appalachian League. In 17 1/3 innings, he has allowed 12 hits, walked seven and struck out 16. He had not pitched since Aug. 2.

OF Alexi Colon (St. Augustine Prep) was 0-for-2 with two walks for the Schaumburg (Ill.) Boomers in a 4-3 win in 10 innings over the Lake Erie Crushers on Saturday in the Frontier League. Colon is hitting .267 with five home runs, 31 RBIs, 15 doubles, five triples and 33 runs scored in 74 games.

RHP Charlie Law (Mainland Regional) Law is 3-3 with a 2.97 ERA in six starts. In 33 1/3 innings, he has allowed 33 hits, walked 21 and struck out 18. His last start, which was a no-hitter, was Friday.
