PHILADELPHIA — Right-hander Luis Garcia has been called up from Triple-A Lehigh Valley by the Philadelphia Phillies to replace struggling righty Phillippe Aumont.

Garcia had a 1.67 ERA and 11 saves in 31 appearances at three levels of the minors this season. The 26-year-old Garcia was 0-1 with a 1.37 ERA and seven saves at Single-A Clearwater. He was 2-1 with a 2.45 ERA and one save at Double-A Reading, and 0-0 with a 1.29 ERA and three saves at Lehigh Valley.

Garcia was expected to be available for Tuesday night’s game against Washington.

Aumont, acquired in the trade that sent Cliff Lee to Seattle in December 2009, was 1-3 with a 4.19 ERA in 22 games for Philadelphia.
