It seemed as though Stafford Township's Ryan Truex finally caught a break in February when he announced that he would make his NASCAR Sprint Cup debut this month in Richmond.

But it's another kind of break that will force him to put off his debut on NASCAR's top series.

The 21-year-old announced Sunday on his Twitter account that he broke his collarbone in two places on Easter and will not be able to drive the No. 51 Phoenix Racing car at Richmond on April 27.

Instead, the part-time Nationwide and Craftsman Truck Series driver said he will make his Sprint Cup debut on June 2 at Dover International Speedway.

Truex was unavailable for comment.

The injury continues a difficult stretch for Truex, the younger brother of full-time Sprint Cup series driver Martin Truex Jr. Since winning back-to-back NASCAR K&N Pro Series titles in 2009 and 2010, Ryan Truex has been unable to secure regular sponsorship at any of NASCAR's top racing series.

He was last in a car at this year's season-opening race of the Truck series in Daytona Beach, Fla., where he finished 28th in the No. 30 for Turner Scott Motorsports. Truex had previously announced that he will drive in the Nationwide Series race in Indianapolis on July 27.

Dover is considered a home track for Ryan and Martin as it's only about a two-hour drive from the Mayetta section of Stafford Township, where they both grew up.
