Franco Rifici of Holy Spirit High School was The Press Football Player of the Year in the fall.

The linebacker, running back and kicker will attend Rowan University.

The 5-foot-7, 165-pound Rifici led the Spartans to an 11-1 record and the state Non-Public II final. Rifici rushed for more than 200 yards. He intercepted two passes and returned one for a touchdown. He also kicked four field goals and made 43-of-50 extra points.
