Mike Trout, an outfielder with the Los Angeles Angels, was the 2012 American League Rookie of the Year and MVP runner-up. Trout, 22, is a 2009 Millville High School graduate who was a two-time Press Player of the Year and The Press Male Athlete of the Year for the 2008-09 school year.

Thursday: The Angels did not play. Trout has not played since leaving Sunday’s game with tightness in his right hamstring.

Today: The Angels visit Seattle and starter Felix Hernandez (12-6, 2.62) at 10:10 p.m.

Stats: Trout is hitting .333 with 21 home runs, 78 RBIs, 88 runs and 28 stolen bases in 122 games. His on-base percentage is .430.

Note: Trout is 5-for-10, including a double and a triple, off Hernandez this season.
