The Los Angeles Angels' Mike Trout hits a two-RBI double against the Athletics during the fifth inning Tuesday night in Oakland, Calif. Trout also tripled and finished with four RBIs.

Mike Trout, an outfielder with the Los Angeles Angels, was the 2012 American League Rookie of the Year and MVP runner-up. Trout, 21, is a 2009 Millville High School graduate who was a two-time Press Player of the Year and The Press Male Athlete of the Year for the 2008-09 school year.

Late Monday: Was 1-for-8 with a walk, a run scored and two strikeouts in a 19-inning, 10-8 loss to Oakland.

Tuesday: Was 2-for-4 -- a double and a triple -- with a walk, a run scored and four RBIs in a 10-6 loss at the Oakland Athletics.

Today: The Angels play an afternoon game at Oakland. Tommy Milone (3-2, 3.38) will start for the Athletics. Trout is 2-for-8 against Milone.

Stats: Trout is hitting .261 with 15 runs scored, 16 RBIs and four stolen bases in 26 games. He has hit two homers, two triples and nine doubles.
