Mike Trout, an outfielder with the Los Angeles Angels, was the 2012 American League Rookie of the Year and MVP runner-up. Trout, 22, is a 2009 Millville High School graduate who was a two-time Press Player of the Year and The Press Male Athlete of the Year for the 2008-09 school year.

Saturday: Batting third and playing center field, then left field and then center again, he went 1-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored in a 6-5 win over the Angels.

Today: The Angels finish their series with the Brewers and starter Kyle Lohse (9-8, 3.39 ERA) at 2:10 p.m.

Stats: TroutĀ is hitting .330 with 23 home runs, 82 RBIs, 92 runs and 29 stolen bases in 34 chances in 130 games. His on-base percentageĀ is .427, his slugging percentage .568 and his OPS was .995.
