Mike Trout, an outfielder with the Los Angeles Angels, was the 2012 American League Rookie of the Year and MVP runner-up. Trout, 21, is a 2009 Millville High School graduate who was a two-time Press Player of the Year and The Press Male Athlete of the Year for the 2008-09 school year.

Thursday: Was 0-for-3 with a walk and got thrown out at the plate in a 5-1 loss to the Orioles.

Today: L.A. hosts Baltimore at 10:05 p.m. Miguel Gonzalez (2-1, 4.60 ERA) is the Orioles’ scheduled starter.

Stats: Trout is hitting .263 with three home runs and 17 RBIs in 28 games. He has three triples, nine doubles and four stolen bases.
