Mike Trout, an outfielder with the Los Angeles Angels, was the 2012 American League Rookie of the Year and MVP runner-up. Trout, 22, is a 2009 Millville High School graduate who was a two-time Press Player of the Year and The Press Male Athlete of the Year for the 2008-09 school year.

Tuesday: Trout went 1-for-4 with two runs scored with a walk in a 12-6 win over Toronto.

Today: The Angels face the Blue Jays and starter R.A. Dickey (12-12, 4.29) at 7:07 p.m.

Stats: Trout was hitting .338 (179-for-530) with 23 home runs, 84 RBIs, 97 runs, 37 doubles, nine triples and 32 stolen bases on 39 attempts in 139 games through Monday. His on-base percentage was .437 and his slugging percentage .572 and his OPS 1.009.
