Mike Trout, an outfielder with the Los Angeles Angels, was the 2012 American League Rookie of the Year and MVP runner-up. Trout, 21, is a 2009 Millville High School graduate who was a two-time Press Player of the Year and The Press Male Athlete of the Year for the 2008-09 school year.

Late Saturday: Went 1-for-3 with a run scored in a 2-0 win over Oakland.

Monday: The Angels host Minnesota in a 10:05 p.m. game. The Twins’ scheduled starter is Samuel Deduno (5-4, 3.61).

Stats: Trout is hitting .321 (122-for-380) with 60 RBIs and 67 runs scored in 95 games. He has hit 16 home runs and stolen 21 bases on 25 attempts. His on-base percentage is .400, his slugging percentage .566.
