Mike Trout, an outfielder with the Los Angeles Angels, was the 2012 American League Rookie of the Year and MVP runner-up. Trout, 22, is a 2009 Millville High School graduate who was a two-time Press Player of the Year and The Press Male Athlete of the Year for the 2008-09 school year.

Wednesday: Trout went 2-for-4 with a run scored and a stolen base in a 4-1 loss to the Rays.

Today: The Angels play Tampa Bay and starter Jake Odorizzi (0-0, 6.00 ERA) at 1:10 p.m.

Stats: Trout is hitting .332 with 23 home runs, 81 RBIs, 91 runs and 29 stolen bases in 33 chances in 127 games. He had an on-base percentage of .428, his slugging percentage was .576 and his OPS was 1.003.
