Mike Trout, an outfielder with the Los Angeles Angels, was the 2012 and 2013 American League MVP runner-up and the 2012 AL Rookie of the Year. Trout, 22, is a 2009 Millville High School graduate. He was The Press Player of the Year in 2008 and 2009 and the Press Male Athlete of the Year for the 2008-09 school year.

Thursday: The Angels did not play.

Friday: Trout was 1-for-5 with a run scored an an RBI. He hit a home run, his seventh of the year in a 4-3 win over Toronto.

Saturday: The Angels play at Toronto at 1:07 p.m. The Blue Jays’ scheduled starter is left-hander J.A. Happ (1-0, 1.93). Trout is 1-for-2 with RBI against Happ.

Stats: Through Thursday, Trout was hitting .284 (38-for-134) with seven home runs, 25 runs and 21 RBIs in 34 games. He also had stolen four bases without being caught. His on-base percentage was .368 and his OPS .913.
