Mike Trout, an outfielder with the Los Angeles Angels, was the 2012 American League Rookie of the Year and MVP runner-up. Trout, 22, is a 2009 Millville High School graduate who was a two-time Press Player of the Year and The Press Male Athlete of the Year for the 2008-09 school year.

Monday: Trout went 2-for-5 and hit his 24th home run of the year in the Angels' 12-1 win over the Athletics. He also doubled, scored two runs and had three RBIs. 

Tuesday: The Angels face Oakland and starting pitcher Sonny Gray (3-3, 2.63) at 10:05 p.m.

Stats: Trout is hitting .331 (183-for-553) with 24 home runs, 89 RBIs, 106 runs, 39 doubles, nine triples and 33 stolen bases on 40 attempts in 146 games. His on-base percentage was .436, his slugging percentage .564 and his OPS 1.000.
