Mike Trout, an outfielder with the Los Angeles Angels, was the 2012 American League Rookie of the Year and MVP runner-up. Trout, 21, is a 2009 Millville High School graduate who was a two-time Press Player of the Year and The Press Male Athlete of the Year for the 2008-09 school year.

Tuesday: Trout was 2-for-4 with a walk and a strikeout in a 3-2 loss in 10 innings.

Wednesday: Trout was 1-for-3 with the game's only run scored and a walk in a 1-0 win over Seattle. Trout scored on a wild pitch in the sixth inning. Trout is hitting .308 with 12 home runs, 44 RBIs, 51 runs and 15 stolen bases.

Stats: In terms of Angels records through 250 games, Trout is first in hits (297), first in extra-base hits (115), first in runs (200), first in slugging (.537), first in average (.307) and first in on-base percentage (.380). Before Wednesday’s game, Trout was hitting .308 with 12 home runs, 44 RBIs, 51 runs scored and 15 stolen bases in 70 games.
