Mike Trout, an outfielder with the Los Angeles Angels, was the 2012 American League Rookie of the Year and MVP runner-up. Trout, 21, is a 2009 Millville High School graduate who was a two-time Press Player of the Year and The Press Male Athlete of the Year for the 2008-09 school year.

Tuesday: Trout was 2-for-5 with his 22nd stolen base of the season in a 10-3 loss to Minnesota.

Today: The Angels host Minnesota at 10:05 p.m. Mike Pelfrey (4-7, 5.40 ERA) is set to start for the Twins.

Stats: Trout was hitting .324 with 61 RBIs and 67 runs scored in 98 games through Tuesday. He had hit 16 home runs and stolen 22 bases on 26 attempts.
