Mike Trout, an outfielder with the Los Angeles Angels, was the 2012 American League Rookie of the Year and MVP runner-up. Trout, 21, is a 2009 Millville High School graduate who was a two-time Press Player of the Year and The Press Male Athlete of the Year for the 2008-09 school year.

Saturday: Went 1-for-2 with a walk and two runs scored in a 7-3 victory over the Toronto Blue Jays.

Sunday: Went 2-2 with a solo home run, a single and two walks in a 6-5 loss to the Blue Jays.
