Mike Trout, an outfielder with the Los Angeles Angels, was the 2012 and 2013 American League MVP runner-up and the 2012 AL Rookie of the Year. Trout, 22, is a 2009 Millville High School graduate who was a two-time Press Player of the Year and The Press Male Athlete of the Year for the 2008-09 school year.

Tuesday: Trout hit a game-tying, two-run home run in the bottom of the ninth in the Angels' 10-9 11-inning loss to the Oakland Athletics. Trout finished the night 3-for-6 with three RBIs, two runs scored and his first stolen base of the season. 

Wednesday: The Angels host the Athletics and starter Tommy Milone (0-1, 5.40 ERA) at 10:05 p.m.

Stats: Trout is hitting .317 (19-for-60) with five home runs, 11 runs and 10 RBIs. His on-base percentage is .369 and his OPS (OBP plus slugging percentage) is 1.019.
