Mike Trout, an outfielder with the Los Angeles Angels, was the 2012 American League Rookie of the Year and MVP runner-up. Trout, 21, is a 2009 Millville High School graduate who was a two-time Press Player of the Year and The Press Male Athlete of the Year for the 2008-09 school year.

Friday: Trout was 0-for-2 with two walks and a run and two strikeouts in a 5-2 win over Cleveland. He also had two stolen bases.

Today: The Angels will play at Cleveland Texas and starting pitcher Ubaldo Jimenez (8-6, 4.18) in a 7:05 p.m. game.

Stats: Trout is hitting .333 with 20 home runs, 70 RBIs and 81 runs in 113 games. Trout has walked 20 times in the last 13 games. His 69 walks lead the American League and has already exceeded his total from 2012. He has at least one walk in 11 of his last 13 games.
