Ocean City Nor'easters soccer forward Dwayne Reid scored five goals to break a franchise record Friday as O.C. beat the F.A. Euro-New York Magic 6-1 at Carey Stadium.

The game was delayed for more than two hours by rain and ended after 11 p.m.

Reid scored four goals in the first half, and added the record-breaker on a penalty kick in the 15th minute of the second half.

The old mark was four goals by Ruben Mingo on May 14 in 2005 as Ocean City, then called the Barons, beat the Westchester Flames (N.Y.) 6-2.

The Nor'easters improved to 11-2-1 overall and 9-1-1 in the Mid-Atlantic Division of the United Soccer Leagues Premier Development League.

O.C. leads the division with 28 points. Reading United A.C. is 7-0-5 for 26 points and second place. The two teams will face each other 7 p.m. Sunday in Ocean City.
