Press readers share their views, via e-mail, about the Philadelphia Eagles' 30-17 loss to the Atlanta Falcons.
There are two minutes to play in the first half. The Eagles are down by 14. The Falcons have the ball and we have used two of our three timeouts, committed countless turnovers, missed assignments on defense and looked totally unorganized on offense.
I have seen this story in the past six games and I am finished. It is really time for a change both at QB and at head coach no matter what happens from this point on.
OMG! Reid should fire himself and do us all a favor! I don't care about the Eagles anymore. They STINK!
Go, Cedar Creek!
Firing Juan Castillo really improved the defense. Pass interference is the new plan. Works about as well as the wide-9.
Andy has no idea anymore how to win. The players have no heart. The defense is uninspired. No one can tackle. The line just bull-rushes and the LBs are confused. They did get a sack this week. WOW!
This Eagles team is a flat-out disgrace. Reid has lost this team and is looking desperate, as was seen when he fired Castillo two weeks ago. Can you say "scapegoat?"
The team can't play a lick of defense, and once again the offense couldn't get it done. They might as well throw Nick Foles out there and see what they have in him because I believe we are on the last season of the Reid and Vick tandem.
Go away, Sandy and Andy!
In the five years since the Eagles have been good: starting quarterback gone, team president gone, two defensive coordinators gone.
There is still one constant remaining as this team continues to stink. Hmmmmm ... .
As a Giants fan, it was the best bet of the year: Atlanta plus 3!
Andy and Michael both have to go!
Falcons five possessions, five scores. It's not who is calling the plays, it's the lack of talent failing to execute the defensive plays.
The Eagles need to do as they did years ago: Draft big, like Bobby Taylor and Troy Vincent - CBs who can hit off the line and tackle hard.
Andy, the clock is ticking.

Castillo or Todd Bowles, who cares? The defense is lousy, the offense not any better. This team needs a complete overhaul, starting with Vick and ending with Reid.
All I know is that I wish I could get paid that well for doing my job that badly, both as players and coaches. And then be as uninspiring as Reid is, both on the sidelines and off. That sure would motivate me.
Then again, they're laughing their heads off all the way to the bank.
Let's face it, folks, the Falcons are contenders and the Eagles are not.
The fans, fighting through adverse weather conditions, were ready to cheer their team coming off of the bye, playing an undefeated team on their home field. Instead, the Eagles embarrassed themselves and let their fans down.
Every decision Reid has made this season seems to be the wrong one.

The Eagles were up against an undefeated foe and serious Super Bowl contender from Atlanta.
They not only lost at home but had their decade-plus bye-week win streak and aura of invincibility destroyed, all but sealing Reid's fate.
And yet I still root for the Giants to win against Dallas because they epitomize how to win as a team.
Another Charlie Brown Halloween.
Turned the game off at halftime. So glad Reid said we needed a new defensive coordinator. How about a new QB?
Watching this lethargic performance by the Eagles has me convinced the time is here for major changes in the franchise. They will not make another Super Bowl appearance with Reid at the helm and Vick as their QB!

Guess I'm the only person in South Jersey that predicted an Atlanta win! Weren't they undefeated against better teams than the Iggles? Oh, well.
Stay safe in the storm!

Penalties, lack of defense, two-minute drill (total time in first quarter). Who can we blame this loss on now that Juan is gone? The offensive coordinator? He must be telegraphing his calls because the Falcons stopped almost everything we tried.
Vick looked like the proverbial "deer in the headlights."
Umm ... wow. What a game! For the Falcons.
My head is heavy and I think my eyes are bleeding from watching this game.
And did anyone else notice how quiet it got? That was from the lack of fans in the stands. I don't think Hurricane Sandy had anything to do with them evacuating the Linc.
Who do you think Andy will fire now?
Terrible game No defense. When you make a touchdown when you're behind by two touchdowns, you should try an onsides kick.
I think this is Andy's and Vick's last year.
Anyone still believe that Castillo was the problem with the Eagles' defense? Anyone still believe that Reid hasn't lost whatever he once had as the head coach and icon of this team?
I know I'm not alone in finally growing tired of trying to believe in the man. This game was a classic example of being out-coached.
Wow. The Eagles were lethargic. The first time they came out of a bye and showed a lack of fire. Defense is poor right now, since it took the lump against the Lions in the fourth quarter.
They have a long way to go and maybe they can turn it around. Offense kept the ball short and the Falcons were happy to see them do it.
You could see a more aggressive style in the defense today, but their tackling was poor, and costly penalties hurt them. At least they got a sack.
The offensive line continues to be of great concern as it does not protect Vick and did not create opportunities for LeSean McCoy to run against one of the worst run defenses in the league.
No turnovers was the only bright spot. Another anemic performance.
Let's sum up this game. First, the Falcons have a perfect season and they were two possessions from having a perfect game (only two punts). Second, it seems Castillo was fired for nothing because the Eagles' defense still can't block or defend and Ryan had his way with them.
Third, the offensive line coach should be in the cross hairs because Vick spent too much time on his back again. Fourth, was it really prudent for Reid to waste a timeout trying to gain a first down that Stevie Wonder could see was way short?
Finally, on the bright side, McCoy put on a great performance in a losing cause.

A total embarrassment by the whole team ! Nine more games of Andy and Mike to go.
Now it appears that the players are no longer responding to the coach they profess their love. This team and coaching staff is so predictable and in disarray that the the only answer now is to rebuild and start fresh.
From the GM to the head coach and all his assistants. Even Jeffrey Lurie and his blind loyalty should see that.
If Reid is the Eagles' coach for the 2013 season, it would be similar to still having Bernie Madoff as your investment advisor.
New defensive coordinator, same result. Same offensive coach, same result.
Paging, Mr. Cowher and Mr. Gruden.
