Egg Harbor Township High School's Kofi Yamoah and James Plummer won the state Group IV shot put at the New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association Relay Championships at the John Bennett Indoor Complex in Toms River on Friday.

Yamoah threw 55 feet, 1 inches while Plummer had a 53-11 put. The seniors were the only local winners in the Group IV boys meet. The Eagles finished fifth in team scoring.

South Brunswick won the Group IV team championship.

In the 4x200-meter race, the EHT foursome of Calvin Rice, Steven Morgan, Maurice Bynum and Adam Bynum was fifth in 1 minute, 34.46 seconds. Nathaniel Henry, the Bynums and Martin Maldonado were fourth in the 4x400 in 3:31.83.

In the 4x800, Southern Regional's Nick Nocco, Timothy Miglin, Mike Evans and Cody Raynor were fourth in 8:22.77.

Non-Public A and Non-Public B schools compete today at 9 a.m.

From Thursday

Ocean City High School's Eddie Traczuk and Buena Regional's Casey Sturts were winners at the J.A.M. Pole Vault Invitational at the Atlantic City Armory.

Traczuk cleared 3.23 meters. Sturts vaulted 2.9 meters for a first-place tie with Triton Regional's Emily Walderon.

Atlantic City, Egg Harbor Township and Mainland Regional also competed in the invitational.

Each athlete was allowed six jumps.
