Two promising local fighters will be in action tonight at Bally's Atlantic City.

Egg Harbor Township junior-middleweight DeCarlo Perez (10-2-1, 4 KOs) and Millville junior-middleweight Ismael Garcia (5-0, 2 KOs) are competing in separate bouts on the undercard of the Teon Kennedy-Joselito Collado super-featherweight fight at Bally's Ballroom.

Perez, 22, will seek his fifth straight victory in an eight-round bout against Jamar Freeman (9-1-2, 5 KOs), of Wilson, N.C. I

n his last outing, Perez scored a fifth-round TKO over Julius Kennedy at Harrah's Chester (Pa.).

Freeman, 28, has been off for 20 months since suffering his first career defeat via 10th-round TKO to unbeaten Samuel Rogers in Las Vegas.

Garcia is fighting in his first career six-rounder against Michael Sunkett (1-2, 1 KO), of Louisville, Ky. Garcia, 26, has yet to be seriously tested in his career.

He started his career with three convincing decisions and is coming off back-to-back TKO wins, including a sixth-round stoppage against Alando Swain at Ballys two months ago.

Sunkett, 24, has endured two straight defeats against undefeated foes. His last fight was a four-round decision loss to Gift Cole Chiori in Louisville last October.

In the 10-round main event, Kennedy (18-7-2, 7 KOs) is trying for his second straight win since suffering a fifth-round TKO defeat against WBA super-bantamweight champion Guillermo Rigondeaux in Las Vegas. Collado (13-2, 3 KOs) has two decision setbacks on his record.

Doors to Bally's Ballroom will open at 7 p.m. with the first undercard bout scheduled for 7:30. Tickets are priced at $50 and $75 and are available at Bally's, and Ticketmaster.
