The Southern Regional High School field hockey team, ranked eighth in The Press Elite 11, beat Central Regional 6-0 in a matchup of unbeaten teams Monday in a Shore Conference interdivision game.

Ann Marie Stango scored the game-winner 8 minutes, 16 seconds into the game, and Elyse Broderick added two goals before halftime.

Arielle Galgano had a goal and an assist for the visiting Rams, and Madison Skeie and Kieran McBrien also scored. Southern's Anastasia Pona didn't have to make a save.

Logan Day scored the first goal of the game at 14:52 for Oakcrest. Casey Mancella netted a goal at 3:50 in the second half, but the Falcons were unable to score again.
