Former Atlantic City star Roe to be honored by Atlantic 10

Former Atlantic City High School basketball star Lou Roe is one of 16 inductees into the Atlantic 10 Conference’s inaugural Men’s Basketball Leg-ends class.

Others inductees ann-ounced Tuesday include Red Auerbach, John Chaney, Tom Gola and Cedric “Cornbread” Maxwell.

The group will be honored March 16 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y., prior to the Atlantic 10 men’s basketball championship semifinals.

Roe scored 1,905 points for the University of Massachu-setts, graduating in 1995. He’s the career scoring leader at ACHS with 1,804 points. Roe played two years in the NBA, with the Detroit Pistons and the Golden State Warriors. He later played professionally in Spain, South Korea and Italy.

Former Atlantic City High School basketball star Lou Roe is one of 16 inductees into the Atlantic 10 Conference’s inaugural Men’s Basketball Legends class. The Atlantic 10 announced the 16 inductees Tuesday.

The 16 are former men’s basketball student athletes and coaches who made an immeasurable impact on each A-10 institution and its basketball program.

Others inductees include Red Auerbach, John Chaney, Tom Gola and Cedric “Cornbread” Maxwell.
