DENVER - Toronto claimed forward Pops Mensah-Bonsu, who starred at St. Augustine Prep and George Washington University, off waivers from Houston on Tuesday.
He did not play against the Nuggets at Denver later that night. Mensah-Bonsu played for the Raptors last season.
He signed a free-agent deal with Houston on Sept. 3 and played a total of 12 minutes in four games before he was waived Friday.
