The Millville High School girls basketball team won their seventh straight game as the Thunderbolts defeated Atlantic City 55-37 in a Cape-Atlantic League American Division game Thursday.

Amanda Smith and Lexi Bruno sparked Millville with 23 and 22 points, respectively. Deaja Reynolds led Atlantic City with 15.

The win moved the Thunderbolts to second place in the American Division. Millville is 5-3 in division play, Atlantic City is 4-4 and Mainland Regional 4-3. Holy Spirit, which Millville hosts Tuesday, leads the division at 7-0.

St. Joseph (9-3) extended its winning streak to five games with the Cape-Atlantic League United Conference victory.

The Wildcats, who held a 34-31 lead after three quarters, shot 10-for-11 from the foul line down the stretch to pull away. St. Joseph was 19-for-22 overall on free throws.

Dana DiRenzo led with 23 points to go along with 13 rebounds. Gabby Dudo had seven points and seven assists. Samantha Wetzel added 10 points, while Cori Weiss had nine.

For Buena Regional, Jasmine Miro posted a team-high 16 points, including four 3-pointers.

Alaina Seyler and Caroline Santiago were also in double figures for the Chiefs with 12 and 10 points, respectively.

Buena registered seven 3-pointers.
