Girls lacrosse roundup: No. 8 Middle Township pounds No. 11 Egg Harbor Township

The Middle Township High School girls lacrosse team improved to 6-0 on Wednesday in its 20-7 win over Egg Harbor Township in a Cape-Atlantic League matchup.

Bridget Ruskey led the Panthers with six goals. Madalyn Anagnou scored four goals and Jenna Herlihy added three in the win.

EHT's Mackenzie Meyer and Abigail Umphlett had two goals apiece.

Absegami's Morgan Miller scored seven goals, and Nicole Goodwin added six goals and two assists. Absegami's Samantha Becker made 25 saves.

Oakcrest pulled another first in program history, beating Lower Cape May for the first time. It was Lower's first loss of the season.

Dom Barber, Summer Conover and Teagan Hay scored two goals each. Khadijah Coleman made a career-high 15 saves.

Madie Gibson led Lower with two goals in the loss.

OLMA's Jackie Battaglia scored twice.
