The Lower Cape May Regional High School girls soccer team defeated Cedar Creek 4-2 in a Cape-Atlantic League National Conference contest Thursday.

Madie Gibson scored her second goal of the game with 40 seconds left to give Lower Cape May the lead. Gibson now has 11 goals for the season.

Gabriella McKeown added an insurance goal as time expired. It was her second of the game and league-leading 19th of the season.

For Cedar Creek, Emily Darling and Kelsey Morfitt scored and Emma Nelson had an assist. Amanda Banner made 15 saves.

Shannon Nilson scored twice to give her nine goals this season, and goalie Taylor Jacoby posted her third shutout with eight saves.

Shannon Metzler also scored twice for the Wildcats. Nilson also had three assists as St. Joseph won its fourth straight game.

For Cape May Tech, Danielle Pennington made 14 saves.
