The Cedar Creek girls volleyball team, which just began its varsity program this year, got its first win against Pleasantville 2-1 on Tuesday.
Cedar Creek lost the first game 21-25, but won the second game 25-15 and the third 25-10.
Mia Negron had six aces and Bethany Opie had three while Katie Nelson had four kills and Fatimah Black well had six kills and one block.
Pleasantville's Stephanie Jorge had eight kills and seven assists, Maria Mercedes had nine service points and five assists and Gissela Sosa-Henriquez had 12 digs. Cedar Creek's record is now 1-3 and Pleasantville is 0-4.

OLMA lost the first game 25-23, made a comeback in the second with a 25-18 win but lost the third 25-23. Ashley Kiszelewski had four kills and two aces, Samantha Spurrier had six kills and Nicole Burrichter had 10 kills, two aces and 13 assists. OLMA's record is now 3-5.
Absegami won the first game 25-10 and the second 25-15.
BarGedeon had six kills, Ivelisse Diaz had five aces and Dionise Ko added 14 assists. Lenape's Madison Gilbert had four digs and four service points. Absegami's record is 8-2 and Lenape is 0-6.
Paul VI 2, St. Joseph 0
St. Joseph was defeated by Paul VI High School in the first game 25-11 and the second game 25-20.
St. Joseph's Kathryn Bromiley had seven kills and eight digs and Dana DiRenzo had three kills, five digs and five assists. Samantha Wetzel had four kills, two blocks, five digs, one assist and one ace. St. Joseph is 2-4 and Paul VI is 4-0.
