The Pinelands Regional High School girls track team secured the Shore B South title Tuesday with a 76.5-54.5 win over Manchester Township.

It was the first B South title for the Wildcats (7-0) since 1992, when they shared the title with Lacey Township, according to coach Jason Capelli.

Lauren Zodl earned Pinelands two wins in the distance races. She posted a time of 5 minutes, 40 seconds to win 1,600 meter event and a 12:31 in the 3,200 event.

Noel Hartman won three field events. She jumped 4 feet, 4 inches in the high jump, tied for first in the long jump (13-10) and threw the javelin for a winning distance of 97-10.

Winning pitcher Paige Neilson gave up seven hits, struck out two and walked two.

Millville's Kaila Smith was 2-for-4 with a double, and Lauren Tobolski went 2-for-4 with an RBI. Brittany Rivera and Caroline Kruger each added doubles.
