Teams of the Year: Egg Harbor Township boys and Pleasantville boys
The Egg Harbor Township and Pleasantville High School boys teams won indoor state titles this season.
The Eagles brought home their first-ever indoor or outdoor track and field title in Group IV.
Pleasantville won the Group I state title, as well as the South Jersey championship and the relay championships.
The Greyhounds and the Eagles are The Press Co-Teams of the Year for the 2012-13 season.
"We knew with this group of kids that we have that this would be the year to get a state title," EHT coach Ryan Smith said. "They did everything we asked of them. They work hard every single day, and they're getting the results."
The Greyhounds won all three major indoor events for the second consecutive year.
"It was our goal again this year, and it kept the kids motivated," Pleasantville coach Alan Laws Sr. said. "I don't know how often it happens, but to win all three two years in a row is very exciting for us."
