Stafford Township's Ryan Truex finally seemed to have caught a break in February when he announced that he would make his NASCAR Sprint Cup debut this month in Richmond.

But another kind of break will force him to put off his debut in NASCAR's top series.

The 21-year-old announced Sunday on his Twitter account that he broke his collarbone in two places on Easter Sunday and will not be able to drive the No. 51 Phoenix Racing car at Richmond on April 27.

Instead, the part-time Nation-wide and Truck Series driver said he will make his Sprint Cup debut June 2 at Dover (Del.) International Speedway.

Truex was unavailable for comment.

The injury continues a difficult stretch for Truex, the younger brother of veteran Sprint Cup driver Martin Truex Jr. Since winning back-to-back K&N Pro Series East titles in 2009 and 2010, Ryan Truex has been unable to secure regular sponsorship in any of NASCAR's top series.

He was last in a car at this year's season-opening race of the Camping World Truck series in Daytona Beach, Fla., where he finished 28th in the No. 30 truck for Turner Scott Motorsports. Truex previously had announced that he will drive in the Nationwide Series race in Indianapolis on July 27.

Both Truex brothers have said they consider Dover a home track since it's only about a two-hour drive from Stafford Township, where they both grew up. Ryan clinched both his East Series titles there, and Martin's only Cup win came there.
